Gregory M. Thayer, CDT, FICOI, President
Mr. Thayer attended the University of Kentucky, is a Certified Dental Technician, a Fellow of the International Congress of Oral Implantologists, the Implant Prosthodontic Section of the ICOI, and an active member of the Academy of Osseointegration and the American College of Oral Implantologists.
He established Thayer Dental Laboratory in 1976 and in 1983 it was recognized by INC. Magazine as part of the INC. 500. The laboratory has been Nationally Certified since 1985 with eight CDT's on staff. In 1999, Greg reaffirmed his commitment to dentistry by building a 12,000 square foot, full service facility, thus creating a state-of-the-art environment to continue serving the profession with leading-edge technologies and a high index of progressive services. Greg's implant training began over twenty years ago. Since that time, he has successfully completed training in all the premier implant systems including Nobel Biocare, 3i, Zimmer, Friadent, Lifecore and ITI. As a proponent of continuing dental education for his personnel, Greg has invested in the PTC Verification System 2000, technical courses from the Willi Geller Oral Design Group and management courses from Penn State University. In fact, Greg served as an implant instructor for Paragon implants.
Among his accomplishments, Greg has authored articles on practice marketing which have been published by the Pennsylvania Dental Association. Additionally, Greg has held the posts of Trustee Advisor to the American Fund for Dental Health and Chairman of the Dental Laboratory
Section of the American Dental Trade Association. He also served on the Budget and Finance Committee for the National Association of Dental Laboratories, and is a Member of the Dental Resource Alliance.
Greg recently received recognition from the American Dental Association for his twenty-fifth anniversary as a Certified Dental Technicial and is currently serving the National Board for Certification as a Trustee.
Craig Yoder, CDT, DT&E, Laboratory Manager
Craig is a Certified Dental Technician and PTC Facilitator with nearly thirty years of practical, technical and management experience. Craig is a graduate of J. Sargent Reynolds Community College with an Associates Degree in Dental Technology. Over the years, Craig has supplemented his undergraduate pursuits by successfully completing courses in Leadership, Management, Lean Manufacturing, and Total Quality Management from such institutions as the Dale Carnegie Institute, the American Management Association, and Penn State University.
Craig's broad scope of dental technology expertise is a result of his commitment to continuous improvement through the application of leading-edge technologies combined with rigorous training of the laboratory's technical personnel. He has received manufacturer's certification in IPS Empress Esthetic, IPS Eris, IPS Empress CAD, IPS e.max CAD, zirconia based restorations like Cercon, IPS e.max and Procera... indirect composites like 3M Paradigm and Cristobal+ ...and a wide variety of porcelain systems. In addition, Craig was one of the first Certified Dental Technicians to receive certification in the ClearMatch? shade matching system.
